Children’s Ministry – Hope for the Fatherless

Jesus Followers Ministries (JFM) carries Joshi Anna’s passion for the vulnerable into Children’s Ministry, rescuing orphans, slum children, and child laborers from poverty and despair. Like the church planting in villages and slums, this work plants seeds of faith in young hearts, raising future leaders who know Christ’s love.

Caring for Homeless Orphans

JFM provides food, shelter, education, and vocational training for children from broken homes—orphans with no parents, single-parent families, or those fleeing abuse. Many come from other backgrounds, victims of dowry deaths, alcoholism, beatings, or forced labor. Boys run to streets; girls beg or face exploitation.

Our vision: A new orphanage near the Godavari River—a clean, green haven on purchased village land. Here, children from all castes experience a casteless Christian home, learning Jesus’ love alongside daily needs. From slums and streets, they enter safety, stability, and hope.

Educational Outreach

Child labor traps millions, but JFM’s programs break the cycle:

  • Village schools offer basic education, Christian values, and life skills—reaching kids whose parents can’t afford fees.
  • After-school classes for slum children include Bible stories, literacy, and meals.
  • Vocational training equips teens for self-sufficiency, turning survivors into providers.

These efforts reach families too—parents often come to Christ through their children’s transformation. India’s future shines brighter when its youth knows the Gospel.

Joshi Anna’s Legacy Continues

Joshi Anna’s heart broke for the poor, including street children drawn to his radio and TV messages. His sons, Pastor John Spurgeon and Brother Bakth Singh, sustain this burden, integrating children’s homes with church planting. Rescued kids join local fellowships, growing as disciples and witnesses.
